"BUFFALO BILL'S PRAIRIE WAIF."

Of course, the Academy of Music last
evening was packed to overflowing with
an audience very enthusiastic and demonstrative.
The entertainment consisted
of Mr. Cody's latest border drama "Prairie
Waif," and it may be truly said the
play is the best of its class ever presented
here. It is not all of the blood-and-thunder
sort--indeed it contains many touching
and pathetic parts, and throughout
it all was the moral that good is rewarded
and wickedness punished. The Sioux
Indians are of the genuine stripe and
sufficiently repulsive to charm the most
devout admirer of Lo. Mr. Cody's artistic
and brilliant rifle shooting won round
after round of applause.

Last evening the Buffalo Bill company
drew 1,350 people to the Academy of
Music and took $875 in cash.
