Haverly's Mastodon Minstrels continue to draw packed houses, and Baltimore is keeping up her reputation as a liberal patron of this sort of entertainment. The company undoubtedly comprises the best talent in the minstrel line now obtainable, and the number of performers -- forty -- makes it specially attractive. Among the stars is Sam Devere, who is a Baltimore boy, and a prime favorite at all times. On Monday next the Hon. W. F. Cody (Buffalo Bill) will begin an engagement in his new play, The Knight of the Plains. His company will include a number of genuine Indian braves, and the performance promises to be highly realistic.
