The Opera House Tonight.
The celebrated scout and Indian fighter, "Buffalo Bill," arrived yesterday, and will open with his Company for a short season in the Grand Opera House tonight. Referrring to the company the Mail says:---"The 'Buffalo Bill' combination appeared last night at this theatre in the play of the 'Prairie Waif There was a large audience. The Prairie Waif is a capital border drama astounding both in humorous situations and sentimental incidents. The plot turns upon the capture of a girl by the Indians, her rescue, and her subsequent love episodes with her deliverer. Mr. Cody, as 'Buffalo Bill,' was naturally the principal attraction, and acted with all this accustomed vigor and ability. Jules Keen as 'Hans' was particularly good, while Miss Fletcher, as '[Onizar?], 'exhibits some good acting in the emotional scences." The band of the company will parade the city this morning, headed by the band of Cheyenne Indians in their aboriginal costume marshalled by "Buffalo Bill," himself. The procession will start from the Opera House at half past ten. The company remain here three days and give a matinee on Wednesday afternoon.
