-- The painted warriors in the street parade yesterday didn't "mash" worth a cent. Bill himself was the greatest Injun of them all, and would have made a more successful procession without the other fellows.
-- Dubuque Fair Spet. 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
-- The "sisters and the cousins and the aunts," as well as the brothers, the uncles and the beaux, are all hard at it, and Pinnfore as given by them next week will get a little ahead of any heretofore presented in this city.
-- The tableau and transformation scene at the conclusion of the first of the "Knight of the Plains," last night, representing a prairie fire and a herd of buffalo rushing through the flames, was beautiful and effective.
