This remarkable drama, will be presented at the Opera House this Wednesday evening, introducing the illustrious Scout and Guide, "Buffalo Bill," (Hon. W. F. Cody), and his highly attractive dramatic company, as well as the Pawnee and Nex [Perceschiefs?], and a comprehensive museum of frontier curiosities. The press of the cities where this novel organization has appeared, are loud in their praises of "May Cody; or Lost and Won," replete as it is with thrilling effects, varied incidents and startling and effective situations, while the characteristic novelty causes an unflagging interest from the rise of the curtain to its fall.

Buffalo Bill wears a magnificient diamond ring.

How is it that the big circus bills have not appeared yet?

The improvements at the Library are progressing as rapidly as possible.

H. E. Mealing Esq., of Currytown, South Caroline, sends $3 for the fever fund.

The Invitation Committee for the Savannah excursion held a meeting last night.

Augusta has contributed very nearly $8,000, so far, to the yellow fever suferers.

A well known member of Council from the First Ward celebrated his forty first birthday last Monday.

The weather threatened rain several times during the past week, but none fell. It is much needed.

The strange dances and bow and arrow exhibition of the Red men last evening were very interesting.

The Indians with the Buffalo Bill party created a sensation as they rode throught the streets yesterday.

The grand oration that Buffalo Bill received last evening was certainly very flattering to the historic scout.

Mayor Meyer recieved yesterday $35 67 from Crawfordville, to be forwarded to the yellow fever sufferers in Memphis.

The donkey that appears in the drama "May Cody" is truly an intelligent animal. He knows when to take his one as well as any of the company.

The shooting match between the Augusts and Aiken Clubs to-day promises to be close and existing. The Augusts team is composed of splendid shots, and has every hope of success.

There are four Indians with the Buffalo Bill Combination. Three are Pawnees and one is a Nez Perce - three are warriors and one is a squaw. Only one of the party can speak any English. Two interpreters accompany the Combination.

To-night Buffalo Bill will execute his "Wonderful Challenge Feat," that of shooting a potato from a young lady's head (either selected from the audience or his company), with his back toward her. This is certainly a nercy undertaking, but Bill never misses the object.
