THE BUFFALO BILL COMPANY.
The "great scout, guide and Indian fighter," Buffalo Bill, will appear at the Opera House this evening in a new drama, whose scenes are laid on the western border, written by Major Burt of the United States army, entitled "May Cody, or Lost and Won." Two Sioux Warriors are to be introduced in the play, and also the Austin brothers, said to be the champion rifle shots of the world. Buffalo Bill and his party have usually had full houses in Hartford, and will probably be well recieved to-night. Seats at the box office.

The Buffalo Bill Company.
There was a large audience at the Opera House last evening, outside of the parquette, where the prices were above the reach of the average small boy and admirer of border life. The gallery was virtually packed. The principal play of the evening introduced such characters as Brigham Young and John D. Lee, and pleasant scenes like the Mountain Meadow massacre. The incidents were both comical and terrific. Altogether the best thing of the evening was the shooting by the Austin Brothers, each in turn with a Stevens rifle exhibiting wonderful marksmanship. The shots included the shooting of potatoes held in the hand and placed upon the head; the snuffling of a candle, and the extinguishing of a lighted cigar held in the mouth, besides other severe and apparently hazardous tests, altogether surpassing the remarkable fiction concerning William Tell. The entertainment as a whole is of such a character that it will probably draw large audiences in most places.
