Hon. Wm. F. Cody, better known as
Buffalo Bill, called upon us to-day. He
says he had a larger audience in New Haven
Saturday night then ever before. Of
his performance there the Palladium says:
"Buffalo Bill and his company had Saturday
evening one of the largest audiences
ever seen in Music Hall. While the
new play - which exhibits in cheerful profusion
such characters as Brigham Young,
John D. Lee, and such scenes as the Mountain
Meadow massacre - was pleasing to
many in the house, the best thing on the
programme was the wonderful marksmanship
of the Austin brothers, who endangered
each other's live with refereshing coolness."
The same play will be given at the Opera
House this evening, and will probably be
well patronized. The opportunity to see
this famous Border Hero is quite sufficient
to gather a good audience independent of
all other attractions.
