"Buffalo Bill will undoubtedly cause some cases of emotional insanity on the part of his female auditors at the Opera House tomorrow evening."

"Hon. W. F. Cody, the only "Buffalo Bill," the world-renowned hero of the plains will appear at Taylor's Opera House on Thursday evening, Dec. 17, in the romantic drama founded upon his own experience entitled "Scouts of the plains; or Red Deviltry as it is," supported by Kit Carson, Jr., son of the famous trapper, hunter and guide, and a carefully selected company of New York artists.

""Buffalo Bill" is under orders to return to the Black Hills at once and his appearance here will be a farewell for the present. Prices are as usual and reserved seats at Judd's."

Danbury News of December 23, 1874:

"There was general regret at the thinness of the auditory which witnessed the acting of the Buffalo Bill Company in the Opera House last Thursday evening. Those that were present were delighted to a remarkable degree and were unanimous in praise of the troupe."
