176The Scouts of the Plains. "The Opera House contained the largest audience of the season last night, on the occasion of the return of Buffalo Bill, Texas Jack, M'lle Morlacchi and Company, who appeared in the new drama of Life on the Plains. Buffalo Bill and Texas Jack are well known here, since their advent last winter, and it is sufficient to say that they still retain their great popularity, and that experience in stage business and the actor's role has greatly improved their mimic representations. M'lle Morlacchi both astonished and pleased her audience by the versatility of impersonations as well as by her wonderful dancing and singing.
