From Chicago, ILL., under date of May 14, our correspondent sends us the appended report of amusements: "The sudden change of the weather to extreme warmth has affected the attendance at our places of amusement, the audiences ruling quite light during the past week. Maggie Mitchell appeared at McVicker's Theatre every night during the week as Fanchon..... Hooley's Theatre is closed, and it is not yet definitely stated what will be the next attraction.
......At the Academy, Buffalo Bill and his party are drawing very good houses, and the entertainment provided for the patrons is one which presents many new and interesting features. Bill and Texas Jack handle the vernacular of the plains in all of its native simplicity, and they also handle fire-arms in good style. Moriacchi is as poetic as ever in her pantomimic action. In the company are a young lady named Hollis and a young gentleman named Fletcher, who give promise of future excellence.
