The Scouts of the Plains.
On the 20th and 21st insts., next Wednesday and Thursday, we are to have the "Scouts of the Plains." The company embraces "Buffalo Bill," (Hon. W. F. Cody) "Texas Jack," and many other celebrities, including the great Morlacchi. The Troy Whig, in speaking of this troupe says:

"The Opera House contained the largest audience of the season last night, on the occasion of the return of Buffalo Bill, Texas Jack, M'lle Morlacchi and Company, who appeared in the new drama of Life on the Plains. Buffalo Bill and Texas Jack are well known here, since their advent last winter, and it is sufficient to say that they still retain their great popularity, and that experience in stage business and the actor's role has greatly improved their mimic representations. M'lle Morlacchi both astonished and pleased her audience by the versatility of impersonations as well as by her wonderful dancing and singing. Mr. Johnson and Mr. Fletcher also distinguished themselves. The piece in which the scouts were introduced is an entirely new one, it contains many points of interest, and in continuity o' plot and sensational tableaux is the best we ever saw of its class."
