The " Scouts of the Plains" had a fairsized audience at the Opera house last evening, and the entertainment was by no means an indifferent one. Of course the scenes were thrilling, and gunpowder entered largely into the performance, but the presentation was faitful to frontier
life and he participants showed a thorough apprecaition of their duty. The ballet dancing of Mlle. Morlacchi was well executed, and as a novelty and atrue exposition of Indain life and adventures the melo-drama of the Scouts was a success.
