It was Ned Buntline who went r
oaming about the streets of Indianapolis
with a brace of navies and a
bowie knife in his belt, and not Buffalo
Bill. B. B., or either of his associates,
from what we saw of them
last night, could toss an enemy out of
pistol range of themselves in case of
an emergency, and need no weapons
only when out West, where they have
the wily savage and the desperado to
deal with.
Personal.
Buffalo Bill, Wild Bill, and Texas
Jack, and the ladies of the troupe, are
quartered at the Terre Haute House.
Buffalo Bill's real name is Wm. F.
Cody, and he was once elected to the
Legislature of the State of Nebraska,
and he served his constituency ably
and faithfully.
