"Buffalo Bill"-- Bison William and his
colleagues, Texas Jack and Wild Bill, opened
at the Opera House last night to a large audience,
the major part of which was composed
of the extremely enthusiastic sort,
who occupied seats and standing room in the
two upper tiers. "Border Life," the title of
the drama presented, will not bear criticism.
The plot is composed of a score of impossible
situations, and the dialogue is disjointed
and bad. But the object aimed at by the
author is reached, in affording the "heroes"
ample opportunity for the display of themselves
and their powers, and the mode of
warfare in vogue in savage life. The evening's
entertainment opened with the farce
"Thrice Married," in which M'lle MORLACHI
sustained the principal parts, and with
credit. M'lle MORLACCHI is a danseuse of the
first order, besides being a vocalist of some
merit. The same bill will be repeated this
evening.
