Dear Sir:–
I send in another
envelope an article by one of my
best students on Growth of P[inus?] T[orbus?].
He has spent some months on it and
I can vouch for his accuracy. I would
like to have it published in the Naturalist,
if you have room for it, and would
like some extras. Considering the difficulty
of some portions of the study, it is one
of the best students papers I have ever
had presented. I send it just as he
handed it in, with the exception of a
few erasures and vital corrections.
You will have to arrange the plates
to suit yourself and remember according
to your own system. I would have had
