Pierce, Neb., May 18, 1886.
Prof. C E Bessey,
Lincoln.
Dear Sir:
I send you this morning
some flowers. Several
of the specimens that I wanted
to send are not yet out. I will
send them when they are in
condition.
I have no manual here;
therefore, I have not analyzed
these.
I give you nearly the full
[hight?] of the leguminose
plant. There are two colors in
it now, purple and white. I
hope it will not fade before
reaching you. [Labryous polyserophus?].
