from those in my specimen, then
I can only think that my
specimens are Ent. [Calopteni?]
which has [conidia?] like E. Grylli
but is distinct in its resping spores.
You also sent a specimen
of diseased rice leaves which
come from Louisiana I believe.
I have compared it with
the various fungi on rice
described principally by the
Italian botanists and it is
distinct from any of them.
Neither is it the [Ustilago virus?]
[?] found on rice. The fungus
seems to me to be Entyloma
[crastophilani?] fasc. I have one
specimen from the west but
the fungus is not so luxuriant
as in the rice leaves.
I send some [Entomopthora?]
