Philadelphia, Octo. 15 1885
My Dear Prof'r Bessey
I am delighted to hear from
yours of the 12th that the Microscopes have
reached you safely & are so satisfactory.
I urged upon the [?] to make just as
from a [jot?] of the International as they
possibly could & they can be relied upon
always for good worksmanship. I had
the stands engaged, at an [?] cost
that it would be [pleasant?] to you & your
authorities. Shall endeavor to fill
any addtional orders, in an equally
satisfactory manner. As to the missing
forceps can only [?] the [?] a special
[importation?] [?
I shall order at
once.
Hope you have rec'd the cards
from "Berries" [?]dding & wish you
& Mrs Bessey could be with us on that
occasion.
Yours Tly
W. H. Walmsley
