My Dear Professor

The [?] [?] has
arrived, with the Caddington Leaves and
School Microscopes for your University, and
we cannot make entry of some, until the
oath comes from you. Mrs Bessey writes
that you are still absent & therefore endorse
another plant, which I trust [?] [?] have
your Chancellor. (Who is probably the [perfect?]
officer.) [??] to & write to us at once
so that we may make entry of the case.

The [?] authorities require that these
blanks shall be filled in ink by the party
making the oath. I have therefore merely indicated
in pencil what he is to write. Also
if the University has a [sic.] seal the same
must be stamped on each oath: if not the [?]
must be stated in writing.

As the other goods for B[?]'s are looked
for daily I also endorse a blank oath
for them & hope both may be returned to us
without delay.
