Dear Professor –

Your communication
relating to repairs upon the house of the
Professor of Botany was presented
to the Board. No further action was
taken but the Board have asked to
have the annual repair fund increassed
to $2500. It is the understanding
of the Board that if this appropriation
is made your bill will be paid
from that fund.

The weather is decidely wintry. We
are expecting to move to Des Moines
this week. We will occupy a house three
blocks from Mrs. Macombers. The children
are well and often talk about the
Bessey boys. Mrs Stanton joins me
in love to the whole family. We want
to see you all ever so much.
