XIV--1. Allen John Franklin. Phi Rho Sigma, Innocent, Medical
society. Born at Bradshaw, Neb., August 23, 1882, still living there. He
was president of the class in the second semester of 1903-04, and as such
attended the senior sneak day. He assists in anatomy and zoology, and
is baseball manager this year.
XIV--2. Beers, Frank Russell. Innocent, Delian, Dramatic club.
Born at Syracuse, Neb., November 8, 1881, and graduated from the high
school there in 1899. After teaching one year he entered the University.
He was class president in the second semester of 1902-03; has held most
of the offices of the Delian literary society; is treasurer of the Athletic
board; manager and substitute on the 'varsity basketball team, and
played on the senior football team.
XIV--3. Bender, John Rhinold. Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Innocent,
Y. M. C. A. Comes from Sutton, Neb. Has been on the football team
four years, being captain 1903-04. Played on the baseball team every
year, and is captain this season. He has specialized in physical train
ing, and will probably teach it. Is master of ceremonies of the senior

XIV--5. Green, James Arleigh. Delta Upsilon. Sigma Tau. Engi
neering society, Innocent. Born at Fort Robinson, Neb., and entered the
University in 1899. A charter member of Sigma Tau, assistant editor of
the '04 "Blue Print," a member of the American Society for the Promo
tion of Engineering Education, instructor of civil engineering for the
years '02-'03, and '03-'04, assistant state engineer for Nebraska. Has
recently left Lincoln to take the position of chief engineer of the Tri
state Land Company at Culbertson.
XIV--6. Green, William Dator. Beta Theta Pi, Innocent, Engi
neering society. Born in Monmouth, Ill. Entered the University in 1899.
Has specialized in chemistry for the last two years, and expects to follow
chemistry as a profession.
XIV--7. Hunter, Frederick Maurice. Alpha Theta Chi, Innocent,
Y. M. C. A., German club, English club, Philosophy club. Graduated
from the Blue Rapids high school, Kansas. Entered the University in
1901. President of the Palladian boys' debating club, 1901-02. Member
of the University football team the past three years. Vice-president of
the Debating association, 1903-04; class president, 1904-05. Was on the
interstate debates several years. He teaches mathematics in the Lincoln
high school.
XIV--8. Ramsey, William Crites. Phi Kappa Psi, Phi Delta Phi.
Viking, Innocent. Was born in the town made famous by the advent of
Pepperberg. Graduated from the Plattsmouth high school in 1901 and
came to the University the same year. He has been on the class football
and baseball teams, is captain of Company C, led the girls' rooting squad
in 1904, and is chairman of the senior play committee. Intends to com
plete the law course, which he began this year.
XIV--9. Sweeley, Fred Allen. Alpha Theta Chi. Innocent. Gradu
ated from the Omaha high school in 1899, and entered the University in
1901. Was president of the class in the first semester of our sophomore
year, assistant baseball manager in 1904, a member of the Glee club for
the last three years, being manager last year and president in 1905. At
present he is editor-in-chief of the "Nebraskan."
XIV--10. Stevens, John Cyprian. Kappa Sigma, Sigma Tau, Theta
Nu Epsilon, Viking, Innocent, Engineering society. Born January 9,
1876 at Knoxville, Iowa. Attended the Knoxville high school and Union
college, and later went to Manila with the Eighth army corps. Has been
in the employ of the United States geological survey. The number of
his fraternity pins gives him unusual opportunities in rushing several
girls at once. Is pledged to Kappa Beta Phi, and expects to join Alpha
Zeta, Phi Delta Phi, Phi Rho Sigma, Sigma Xi, and Chi Omega as soon
as his allowance is increased.
XIV--11. Van Burg, James Lloyd. Sigma Chi, Phi Delta Phi, Vik
ing, Innocent. Born in Hickman, Neb., twenty-one years ago. Entered
the University in 1899 and has attended off and on ever since. Has
taken work in the law and academic departments.
XIV--12. White, Robert Holdrege. Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Tau,
Innocent. Born at Plattsmouth, Neb., October 28, 1884. Graduated from
the Plattsmouth high school and entered the University in the fall of
1901. Has taken an electrical engineering course and expects to follow
that professioin. Is captain of Company B, manager of the "Blue Print,"
chairman of the senior prom, and president of the class.
