Authorize purchase of property
located east of 17th Street
between R and Vine Street

It was moved by Regent Adkins, seconded by Regent Foote, motion
put to vote and carried, that the action of the property committee be
approved authorizing the Business Manager to purchase Lot 15 of Irregular
Tract in the Southwest Corner of Section 24, Township 10 North, Range 6
East, Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, and Lot 17 of the same tract
of land for the total sum of $13,500.00.

Approve Memorandum of Agreement
with Dept. of Agr. of State of
Nebr. for research re high
amylose corn

It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion
put to vote and carried, directing the president and corporation secretary
of the Board of Regents shall be authorized to sign in behalf of the
Board a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Agriculture and
Inspection of the State of Nebraska for research in a project dealing
specifically with high amylose corn.

Protest filed by Mr. Herbert W.
Burton re program service to
Nebr. Union

A protest from Mr. Herbert W. Burton, Manager of Radio Station
KFMQ, concerning the purchase of program service for the Nebraska Union
is referred to the Executive Committee of the Board of Regents for
attention in the event Mr. Burton desires to pursue the matter further.

Congratulations to Chancellor
Hardin on appointment as pres.
of American Assn. of Land Grant
Colleges and State Univ.

Regent Greenberg called attention to the Board of Regents of the
recent election of Chancellor Hardin to the presidency of the American
Association of Land Grant Colleges and State Universities to serve for
the ensuing year.

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott,
motion put to vote and carried, declaring that the Regents consider the
election of Chancellor Hardin as president for the ensuing year of the
American Association of Land Grant Colleges and State Universities to be
a high honor to Chancellor Hardin personally, to the University of
Nebraska and the State of Nebraska and express to Chancellor Hardin the
congratulations of the Board on this recent election.

There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
