The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met on this day for a special meeting at 2:00 o'clock p.m. in the Administration Building, City Campus.

Minutes approved
The minutes of the proceedings of the Board at their meeting held January 10, 1959, were approved, copy of the same having been transmitted to the several members of the Board under its order of October 1, 1926.
From the Chancellor's office come reports of resignations, leave of absence, new appointments, adjustments in work and salary and retirement. Money being available for those purposes from former apportionment by the Board, the following actions are taken.
Resignations Approved
It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the following resignations be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office.
RESIGNATIONS
Louis Crompton, Faculty Summer Research Fellowship for Summer, 1959, effective January 15, 1959.
Mark E. Clark, Assistant County Agricultural Extension Agent in Seward County, effective January 31, 1959.
Don Russell, Assistant Professor of Speech and Dramatic Art, effective January 31, 1959.
George E. Hartman, Jr., Assistant County Agricultural Extension Agent in Holt County, effective February 28, 1959.
John Gordy, Assistant Football Coach, effective February 15, 1959.
Leaves of Absence Approved
It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, that the following leaves of absence be approved as recommended by the chancellor's office.
LEAVES OF ABSENCE
Raymond C. Russell, District Agricultural Extension Supervisor, leave of absence without pay from February 6, 1959 to February 5, 1960; to accept position with ICA in Bogota, Columbia, South America.
Ted H. Doane, Assistant Extension Animal Husbandman, extension of leave without pay from February 15, 1959 to August 31, 1959.
It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, that the folowing new appointments be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office.
