Jere A. DeVilbiss, from full-time TV-Correspondence Instructor at $4000 per year to half-time at $2000 per year from August 25, 1958 to May 31, 1959.

Permit H. L. Hunzeker as consultant to Infrared Lab. at Uni. of Michigan

From Dean Walter E. Militzer, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, comes a request to permit Mr. H. L. Hunzeker, Asst. Prof. in the Mathematics Department, to act as consultant to Mr. M. Holter of the Infrared Laboratory at the University of Michigan for a period of time anticipated not to exceed two years.

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, directing permission be granted to Mr. H. L. Hunzeker to act as consultant to Mr. M. Holter of the Infrared Laboratory at the University of Michigan.

Accept gift of estate of Carl Herman Larsen

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, directing that the unrestricted gift from the estate of Carl Herman Larsen in the amount of $14,140.27 be gratefully accepted.

Authorize Dr. O. D. Grace to serve on Basic Sciences Board,State Board of Health

From Dean W. V. Lambert, Dean of the College of Agriculture, comes a request to permit Dr. Oliver D. Grace, Associate Professor of Animal Pathology to serve on the Basic Sciences Board of the State Department of Health at a stipend of $10.00 per day plus expenses for two examination periods each year, examinations to be held in Omaha, Nebraska. It ws recommended by Dean Lambert that permission be granted to Dr. Grace to serve on this board.

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, directing that permission be granted to Dr. Oliver Grace, Assoc. Prof of Animal Pathology, to serve on the Basic Sciences Examination Board of the State Board of Health.

Accept gifts to University Art Collection

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, directing the gift to the University art collection of the following works of art be accepted:

An oil painting, THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE, by Roy Lichtenstein, presented by Dr. Bernard Kronenberg, 737 Park Avenue, New York.

A sculpture in cast stone, MOUNTAIN FIGURE, by Louise Nevelson, presented by Miss Anita Berliawsky, Rockland, Maine.

Withhold action on resignation of Mrs. Whitesel

In the matter of the resignation of Mrs. H. Carolyn Whitesel, Extension Assistant in Home Economics and County Home Extension Agent in Kearney County, the Board granted an interview in which Mrs. Whitesel presented the circumstances surrounding her dismissal by the Kearney County Extension Board.

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Greenberg, that the following resignations of University personnel as recommended by the Chancellor's office be accepted but that the resignation of Mrs. Whitesel be tabled for later consideration. Motion put to vote and carried.
