$500 from the Tobacco Industry Research Committee for research by Dr. H. A. Salhanick of the College of Medicine: Determination of Follicle Stimulating Hormone and Luteinizing Hormone in Human Urine.
Training Grants
$5,000 from the U. S. Public Health Service for Under-graduate Training Grant under the direction of Dr. Donald T. Waggener of the College of Dentistry. (Continuation)
$66,427 from the U. S. Public Health Service for Interstate Training Program under the direction of Dr. Cecil L. Wittson of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry. (Continuation)
$24,954 from U. S. Public Health Service for Cancer Teaching Program under the direction of Dr. H. B. Hunt of the College of Medicine. (Continuation)
Fellowships
$2,500 from Dow Chemical Company for Dow Chemical Company fellowship program in Chemistry.
$2,500 from Ideal Cement Company for Ideal Cement Company fellowship in the College of Engineering.
$1,200 from Lederle Laboratories Division of American Cyanamid Company for Lederle Medical Student Research Fellowships under the direction of Dean J. P. Tollman of the College of Medicine.
$3,300 from American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education for fellowships in the College of Pharmacy.
Candidates for Degrees and Certificates
The faculties of the several colleges of the University having submitted their recommendations of candidates as required by law, it was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that degrees be granted and certificates of completion of requirements in special courses be issued, all as shown in the several lists immediately following. It is hereby ordered that degrees in courses and certificates of proficiency in special subjects as recommended by the several college faculties aforesaid and as described below be and the same are hereby granted to the persons named respectively therefor; that diplomas and certificates in the usual form bearing the date of August 1, 1958, be prepared and authenticated in the usual manner and be publicly awarded by the Chancellor of the University to said candidates according to the custom of the University.
