As early as half last six o'clock -- evening, the sidewalk and entrance to the Opera House were thronged by men and boys wanting the opening of the doors in order to gain an entrance to the Bufallo Bill entertainment. The crowd continued to increase till half past seven, when it was almost impossible to gain an entrance for the crowd that filled and surged in the stairways. The play began at about a quarter after eight at which -- there was not vacant seat in the building, and many were standing up. The second gallery was literally packed with boys, who were very attentive throughout the performance, and widly enthusiastic over ---. The first gallery and the parquette (?) was also filled full, tho audience as a whole being about nine-tenths men and boys- few ladies were present. The performance was well received, and though the play does not amount to the (---) the way of plot; there were situations and positions of it that were really thrilling and dramatic. Buffallo Bill proved to be an actor of no (--) capacity, but the best one was Mr. Charles, who took the Irish parts. The company went west to Iowa City this morning, where they play this evening appearing in Cedar liapids tomorrow evening. They cleared about $800 in Davenport.
