Look Out for the Scouts.
To-night, at Phillips Hall, a real rare treat is in store for our theatre going people. We refer to the entertainment to be given by the Buffalo Bill and Texas Jack Combination. Buffalo Bill, the leading name on the bill is one of the best known men who ever earned a name for daring on the frontier. His real name is Hon. W. F. Cody, and during the excitement of life on the frontier he had time to serve a term or two as a member of the Legislature. Texas Jack (J. B. Omohundro) is as well known, perhaps, as Bill, and fills his parts of the programme to perfection. They are both heroes of novels and romance. With this party is the peerless MOrlacchi, dansuese, actress and vocalist who has made a name coextensive with the country as "Pale Dove in" "Scouts of the Plain." Besides these three favorites there are in the party thirteen first class actors and actresses. This evening's entertainment will commence with the farce of "Thrice Married," in which M'lle Morlacchi will appear in four characters, three beautiful dances, and sing a Cavatina from Ernani. After which Hiram Robbins' great modern success, Life on the Border with new scenes, new situations, new tableaux, new effects, new characters, hairbreath escapes, frontier life, Indian warfare and new plot of absorbing interest.
