It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, that Frederick G. Teubner be appointed Associate Professor of Horticulture, effective April 1, 1959, at a salary of $9,000 per year.

There being no further business, the Board adjourned.

The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met on this day for a special meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the Administration Building, City Campus.

Regents present: C. E. Swanson, President J. G. Elliott B. N. Greenberg Frank O. Foote

Regents absent: J. L. Welsh Richard E. Adkins

University officials present: Messrs. Clifford M. Hardin, Chancellor A. C. Breckenridge, Dean of Faculties Joseph Soshnik, Asst. Corporation Secretary Carl A. Donaldson, Business Manager

Minutes Approved

The minutes of the proceedings of the Board at their meeting held January 31, 1959, were approved, copy of the same having been transmitted to the several members of the Board under its order of October 1, 1926.

From the Chancellor's office come reports of resignations, leaves of absence, new appointments, adjustments in work and salary and retirement. Money being available for those purposes from former apportionment by the Board, the following actions were taken.

Resignations Approved

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that the following resignations be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office

RESIGNATIONS

Dee L. Follis, County Agricultural Extension Agent, effective January 31, 1959.

Howard Dale Fuehring, Instructor in Agronomy, effective January 31, 1959.

Charles C. Wilson, part-time Instructor in Secondary Education, effective February 1, 1959.

Marvin J. Stadum, Research Associate in Agricultural Economics, effective February 28, 1959; salary paid entirely by USDA.

Leaves of Absence Approved

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the following leaves of absence be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office.

LEAVES OF ABSENCE

Charles O. Gardner, Professor of Agronomy and Chairman of Statistical Laboratory, leave of absence with pay for the period June 1 to July 22, 1959; to attend the Southern Regional Summer Session in Statistics at North Carolina State College.

James C. Olson, Professor and Chairman of History, leave of absence with pay for the period June 1, 1959 to January 31, 1960; to accept a Woods Faculty Fellowship.

Gerald E. Thompson, Assistant Professor of Economics, leave of absence with half pay for the period September 1, 1959 to August 31, 1960; to accept Ford Foundation Fellowship. Acceptance of the Ford Foundation Fellowship in the amount of $6,268.00 for this purpose is hereby given.

Kay L. Henderson, Assistant County Home Extension Agent, at $3900 per year effective February 2, 1959.

Russel E. Weiss, Assistant in Agronomy, at $433.33 per month for the period February 1 to May 31, 1959; accounts 4648-W, 1806 and 408B.

Clifford J. Walstrom, Instructor in Entomology part-time, at$150 per month effective February 1 to May 31, 1959.

Mary Rokahr, Program Coordinator, Foreign Trainee Program, at $2000 for the period February 1 to June 30, 1959.

Estelle Grace Lutes, Instructor in Home Economics, part-time, at $500 for the second semester of 1958-59.
