Charles S. Miller appointed Dean of College of Bus. Administration

From the Chancellor's office comes a recommendation that Dr. Charles S. Miller, Professor of Business Organization and Management, be appointed Dean of the College of Business Administration, to replace Dean Earl S. Fullbrook, who retires from the position of Dean of the College of Business Administration on September 1, 1958. It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried unanimously, that Dr. Charles S. Miller be appointed Dean of the College of Business Administration effective September 1, 1958.

Walter K. Beggs appointed Dean of Teachers College

From the Chancellor's office comes a recommendation that Dr. Walter K. Breggs, Professor of History and Principles of Education, be appointed Dean of the Teachers College to replace Dean Frank E. Henzlik, who retires from the position of Dean of the Teachers College on July 1, 1958. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and unaimously carried, directing that Dr. Walkter K. Beggs be appointed Dean of the Teachers College, effective July 1, 1958.

Deaths of staff members

From the Chancellor's Office comes a report of the death of six staff members. It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that these deaths be made a matter of record in these minutes and the University payrolls be adjusted. The names of the deceased and dates of deaths are as follows:

From the Business Manager, Mr. Carl A. Donaldson, comes a recommendation that John Latenser and Sons, Architects of Omaha, be employed to prepare plans and specifications for continuation of the renovation program of the electric wiring and services to the South Laboratory Building on the College of Medicine Campus.

It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the Business Manger, Mr. Carl A. Donaldson, be authorized to employ the firm of John Latenser and Sons to prepare plans and specifications for renovation of the electrical service to the South Laboratory Building on the College of Medicine Campus, this portion estimated to cost $30,000 and to be paid from the General University Building Fund.

Authorize rental of property near Ag.College farm at 70th and Adams.

From the office of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, W. V. Lambert, comes a recommendation that the University enter into a lease for the rental of three pieces of property, one an 80 acre piece owned by Grace Cox, the second a 10 acre piece owned by Charles C. Tubbs, and the third, a 15 acre tract owned by Irvin F. and Kathleen M. Dillen, all in close proximity to the University-owned Agricultural Experiment Station property at 70th and Adams Street. Rental of these properties is desired for the purpose of growing corn or sorghums to be harvested for silage and used by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Department of Dairy, and as rotation pasture land for the Animal Husbandry Department.
