Public Health Service to Dr. Cecil Wittson of the College of Medicine: Pilot Screening Treatment Unit for Mentally Retarded. Approve electric service project -College of Medicine It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that approval be given to the proposed project providing electric service to the South Laboratory building and that the bid of Baxter and Company in the amount of $9,200 for a portion of this work be accepted. The combined bid of Baxter and Company for this work and for the extension of electric service to the Childrens Medical Center was $12,200. Other bids for this combined work were as follows: Firm Name Commonwealth Elec. $ 14,720 Accept low bid for parking lot at University Hospital It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried that the bid of $53,236 of Cornhusker Paving Co. for construction of a parking lot south and west of University Hospital be accepted. Other bids received were as follows: Firm Name A. Borchman $ 66,650 Accept low bid for steam service to Childrens Medical Center It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried that the bid of J. J. Hanighen Co. in the amount of $14,562 for construction necessary to provide steam service for the Childrens Medical Center be accepted. Funds for this purpose have been made available in the Hill Burton grant previously received. Other bids received were the following: Firm Name Approve steam service construction-part to be reimbursed It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the bid of Baxter Electric Co. in the amount of $3,000 for construction of an electric service line to the Childrens Medical Center be accepted. This bid is a part of the total $12,200 combined bid of Baxter & Company for construction of electric service line to the Childrens Medical Center and of electric service line to the South Laboratory building. The portion of the total bid representing the cost of an electric service line to the Childrens Medical Center will be reimbursed to the Board of Regents by the several agencies comprising the Childrens Medical Center.
