It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the following leaves of absence be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's Office. Bertrand Schultz, Director of the Museum and Professor of Geology, leave of absence with pay for the period July 15 to 31, 1958, to do research and complete manuscript at Frick Laboratory, New York City. Lloyd K. Jackson, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy, leave of absence without pay for the academic year 1958-59; to accept visiting professorship at the University of Oregon. Karl J. Shapiro, Professor of English, leave of absence without pay for the period February 15 to April 11, 1959; to deliver Elliston lectureship at the University of Cincinnati.
