authorities concerning the planning and design of the Sheldon
Memorial Art Gallery

Advisory Committee appointed
for planning of Sheldon
Memorial Art Gallery

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent
Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, directing the follow-
ing committee be appointed to act as an advisory committee to
the University authorities concerning the planning and design
of the Sheldon Memorial Art Galley:

Mrs. Thomas C. Woods
Mrs. Bromley Sheldon
Mr. Fred N. Wells
Mr. R. E. Campbell
Mr. Norman Geake
Prof. Linus Burr Smith
Prof. Peter Worth

Mr. Clarence Swanson, Regents Advisor

Authorize issuance of
duplicate diploma

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent
Foote, motion put to vote and carried, directing Registrar
Floyd W. Hoover be authorized to issue a duplicate diploma to
Mr. Alfred Herman Reider, of Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Reider was
granted the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education on
August 6, 1937.

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent
Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, directing the follow-
ing grants for research as reported by Dean John C. Weaver
under date of January 22, 1958, be accepted.

Accept gifts and grants

$4,000 from the Cerophyl Laboratories though the
University of NebraskaFoundation to Dr. Ernest R.
Peo, Jr. of the Department of Animal Husbandry:
The Effect of Thyroprotein upon the Performance of
Growing Swine.

$5,000 from the American Dairy Association
through the University of Nebraska Foundation
to Dr. I. L. Hathaway of the Deparment of Dairy
Husbandry: The Nicotinic Acid, [Fantothenic] Acid,
Biotin, Pyridoxine and Vitamin E Content of the
More Important Kinds of Cheese. (Continuation)

$172 from the U.S. Public Health Service to Dean
J. F. Tollman of the College of Medicine:
Post-Sophomore Medical Student Research Fellow-
ships (Supplement for tuition increase).

$11,500 from the U.S. Public Health Service to
Dr. Robery K. Feeney of the Department of
Biochemistry and Nutrition: Antibiological
Action of Chelating Agents. (Continuation)

$8,050 from the U.S.Public Health Service to
Dr. A. R. McIntyre of the College of Medicine: The
Action of Chlorophyll Derivatives on the Hypodynamic
Heart. (Continuation)

$10,800 from Charles Pfizer and Company, Incorporated,
to Dr. M. M. Musselman of the College of Medicine:
Pfizer Surgical Research. (Continuation)

$2,000 from Merchk, Sharp and Dohme Research
Laboratories to Dr. George W. Loomis of the College
of Medicine: Studies of the Clinical Efficacy
of Chlorothiazide.

Accept Ford Foundation Grant

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent
Foote, directing that a grant of $2,500 from The Ford Found-
ation be accepted, funds to be used by the University of
Nebraska Press to stimulate scholarly publication in the
humanities and the social sciences
