It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried that the president and corporation secretary be authorized and directed to execute a Memorandum of Agreement with Robert L. Hough for publication of The Quiet Rebel: William Dean Howells as Social Commentator.

Authorize Memo. of Agreement for publication of Western Story

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and corporation secretary be authorized and directed to execute a Memorandum of Agreement with Charles O'Kieffe for publication of Western Story: The Recollections of Charley O'Kieffe, 1884-1898.

Authorize Memo. of Agreement for publication of The Literature of Possibility

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and corporation secretary be authorized and directed to execute a Memorandum of Agreement with Hazel E. Barnes for publication of The Literature of Possibility: A Study in Humanistic Existentialism.

Authorize Memo. of Agreement for publication of Eyrbygga Saga

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and corporation secretary be authorized and directed to execute a Memorandum of Agreement with Paul Schach and Lee M. Hollander for publication of Eyrbygga Saga.

Resolution for sale of farm in Dawson County to PAUL D. HART Sheldon Estate

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, an Agreement for Warranty Deed was entered into on March 30, 1959, between THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA, a corporation, as Party of the First Part, and PAUL D. HART AND ARLENE E. HART, husband and wife, of Sargent Nebraska, Parties of the Second Part, by the terms of which First Party agreed to sell and Second Parties agreed to buy the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) (also described as Lots 4 and 5) and the East Half (E1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (SW1/4) of Section Seven (7), Township Ten (10) North, Range Twenty-Four (24), West of the 6th P.M., in Dawson County, Nebraska; subject to right-of-way of Thirty Mile Canal Company for irrigation lateral; and subject to established public roads and existing easements, for a total consideration of Seventy-Eight Thousand Dollars ($78,000.00), and

WHEREAS, said agreement provided that upon payment of the balance of said purchase price, in the sum of Fifty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($59,000), First Party should convey to Paul D. Hart and Arlene E. Hart, husband and wife, as joint tenants with right of survivorship and not as tenants in common, the above described real estate;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that upon payment by Paul D. Hart to The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, the balance of said purchase price, in the sum of Fifty-nine Thousand Dollars ($59,000), C. E. Swanson, President of The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, a corporation, or J. G. Elliott, Vice President of said Board, be authorized and directed to execute and deliver to Paul D. Hart and Arlene E. Hart, husband and wife, as joint tenants with right of survivorship and not as tenants in common, a Warranty Deed of the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, a corporation, conveying the above described real estate to said Paul D. Hart and Arlene E. Hart, husband and wife, as joint tenants with right of survivorship and not as tenants in common.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that John K. Selleck, Corporation Secretary of the Board of Rgents of the University of Nebraska, or Joseph Soshnik, Assistant Corporation Secretary of said Board, be authorized and directed to attest to the execution of said deed, and to attach thereto the corporate seal of the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska; and be further authorized and directed to purchase and attach thereto necessary revenue stamps, as required by law.

It was moved by Regent Adkins, and seconded by Regent Foote, that the foregoing resolution be adopted, and the adoption of said resolution was unanimously carried.

From the Office of Education in the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, comes information that the additional sum of $48,717.00 has been approved as a second Federal Capital Contribution for
