U of N Press Agreement to publish book

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, directing the president and corporation secretary of the Board of Regents shall be authorized to sign in behalf of the Board, a Memorandum of Agreement between Mr. A. N. Williams, Sr., owner and the University of Nebraska Press for the publication of a book entitled "The Journal of Mollie Dorsey Sanford," outlining accounts of difficulties of homesteading in western Nebraska in territorial days.

Approve Easement with Consumers Public Power District re Havelock Property

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, directing the president and corporation secretary of the Board of Regents shall be authorized to sign an Easement granting the Consumers Public Power District the right to construct power lines along the south property line of the University-owned tract east of Havelock, the property being described as follows:

Lot Eight (8) of irregular tracts in the southwest one quarter of the northwest one quarter (SW1/4NW1/4) of Section eleven (11) being all that part of the SW1/4NW1/4 that lies north of the right-of-way of the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad Company and the Northwest one quarter of the Northwest one quarter (NW1/4NW1/4) of Section eleven (11) and the Southwest one quarter (SW1/4) of Section two (2) all in Township ten (10) North, Range Seven (7) East of the 6th P.M.

Bids for proposed Bowling Alley and Pinsetter - Student Union

From the Business Manager's office comes an itemization of bids received for the proposed bowling alley and bowling alley equipment including an automatic pinsetter to be installed in the addition to the Student Union presently under construction.

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, directing that the low bid from the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. in the amount of $115,265.16 be accepted for the installation of the bowling alley including automatic pinsetter at the Student Union.
