Hobart V. Hays, Art Director in University Television, leave of absence without pay from July 6 to September 5, 1959; for professional advancement and TV art/graphics research.
New Appointments Approved
It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the following new appointments be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office.
NEW APPOINTMENTS
College of Agriculture
Leon F. Nelson, Instructor in Agricultural Engineering and Assistant in Agricultural Engineering, at $5600 per year effective June 15, 1959; in place of Mr. Penton.
College of Arts and Sciences
Wendell Lee Gauger, Assistant Professor of Botany, at $6200 per year effective September 1, 1959; in place of H. L. Weaver who will be on leave for two years.
Charles Corbett Laing, Assistant Professor of Botany, at $6700 per year effective September 1, 1959; in place of Calvin McMillan.
E. David Cronon, Associate Professor of History, at $8500 per year effective September 1, 1959; in place of James L. Sellers who will retire at the end of the currecnt academic year.
College of Medicine
Russell A. Forrest, Instructor in Internal Medicine, without salary, effective February 11, 1959.
Russell Oliver Saxvik, Resident in Neurology and Psychiatry, at $8400 per year effective March 1, 1959 to February 29, 1960; account 1124-6W.
Warren Harland Pearse, Instructor in Obstetrics-Gynecology; at $10,000 per year effective May 1, 1959.
William John Chleborad, Assistant Instructor in Surgery, without salary, effective July 1, 1959.
Saeed M. Farhat, Assistant Instructor in Surgery, without salary, effective July 1, 1959.

Robert L. Horn, from Assistant County Agricultural Extension Agent in Jefferson County at $4300 per year to County Agricultural Extension Agent in Kimball-Banner Counties at $4500 per year effective March 16, 1959; in place of Dee Follis.
Robert Lee Fox, reinstatement as Associate Agronomist and Associate Professor of Agronomy, at $7000 yer year effective March 1, 1959; has completed assignment at Ankara University in Turkey.
