Counseling Service authorized to give pre-college guidance

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the University Counseling Service be authorized to provide pre-college guidance services to Nebraska high school students who have completed at least the 11th grade. The University Counseling Service will collect a non-refundable fee of $15.00 from each student receiving this service.

Low bid accepted Natkin & Co.

It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the low bid of Natkin & Company for air conditioning Howell Theatre be accepted. Bids received were as follows:

The faculties of the several colleges of the University having submitted their recommendations of candidates as required by law, it was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, that degrees be granted and certificates of completion of requirements in special courses be issued, all as shown in the several lists immediately following. It is hereby ordered that degrees and certificates of proficiency in special subjects as recommended by the several college faculties aforesaid and as described below be and the same are hereby granted to the persons named respectively therefor; that diplomas and certificates in the usual form bearing the dates of June 7, 1958, or June 14, 1958, as appropriate, be prepared and authenticated in the usual manner and be publicly awarded by the Chancellor of the University to said candidates according to the custom of the University.
