Relating to Buckner Diploma for [sc.?]

Chancellor to investigate [sc.?]

Regent Mull moved, that the matter of issuing diploma to Elijah Buckner [of?] referred to the Chancellor to ascertain the truth as to his former credentials, and if found that he knowingly holds such fraudulent credential, that he be excluded from further attendance in the medical college: and that if he found innocent of fraud, that he be permitted to attend and complete the course and that a diploma from this University be withheld until the facts be ascertained: which motion prevailed.

Mitchell elected medical dean.

Regent Hull moved that A.R. Mitchell M.D. be elected dean of the medical faculty for the ensuing year, which motion prevailed.

On motion the following resolution was adopted:

Resolution to ex-dean Mitchcock.

Resolved: that the thanks of this board be and are hereby tendered to prof. H.E. Mitchcock for his long and faithful services as dean of the academic faculty as well as his earnest and zealous work while acting chancellor of this University.

Annual Appropriations.

The finance committee reported the following appropriations for the ensuing year:
