Proceedings of the Executive Commitee,

The Executive Commitee of the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, met at the office of C. H. Gere President of the Board and Chairman of said Commitee, in Lincoln, Nebraska,

January 13, 1885

Purduant to the call of the Chairman President C. H. Gere, to attend to the buisness of said commitee delegated to them at the December A.D. 1884 meeting of the Board of Regents.

President, Regents Gene, Niatt and Hull, a full commitee.

The resignation of Dr. R. Livingstone as Professor of Surgery was recieved, and the report of the President that Professors S. D. Mercer and A. R. Mitchell had volunteered to divide the work of the Chair of Principles and Practice of Surgery.

The petition of Dr. O. C. Reynoplds of Seward, nebraska, signed by numerous citizens for appointment to the Chair of Surgery was recieved and placed on file.

On motion it was ordered that the services of Professors Mercer and Mitchell in the Chair of Surgery, for the remainder of the term be accepted.

A report was recieved from the Superintendant of the College Farm, of estimates of expenses for the same for two years, and the same order filled.

Ordered, that in the opinion of the Committee the minimum price of University and Indsutrial College Endowment lands, should not be less than fifteen dollars per acre.
