On motion the report of the committee was received and adopted.
Reports of Chanc. Dean Bressey and Mitchell.
The chancellor then presented and read his [dr?] report, accompanied by the reports of Dean Bessey of the Industrial College, and Dean Mitchell of the Medical College. The report of Dean Bessey, was by the president, without objection, referred to the committee on course of study.
On motion the board then adjourned until 2 o'clock p.m.

The board of regents met at 2 o'clock p.m. with the same members present as at the time of the morning session.
The minutes of the last proceeding meetting were read and approved.
Supt. E. P. Savage of the college farm submitted a report of monies expended for the farm, with vouchers, and estimates of expenses and liabilities, all of which were received and referred to the finance committee.
Prof. G. E. Howard of the department of history, submitted a report of books purchased for his department, with vouchers, which was also received and referred to the finance committee.
A communication from Prof. Hicks was read by the secretary, asking for an appropriation of $40 for the use of his department, and same referred to the finance committee.
Com'n of Med.Fac & Drs. Lowrey & Mencer, Referred Back
The committee on course of study to whom was referred the resolution of the medical faculty relating to the compensation of its members, and the communications of Dr.s Mencer & Lowrey in relation to instruction in clinical surgery, were reported the same back to the board without recommendation.
On motion the report eas received and the communications ordered filed.
A report was received from Prof. Nichloson of the chemical department , and ordered filed.
