Recommend the assignment of one of the said rooms, and appropriation of the sum of $50 to be applied in arranging, repairing and furnishing same, to be expended under the direction of the secretary of the board.
On motion the above report of the committee was received and adopted.
The committee on course of study reported back for consideration by the full board, the following recommendations of the Chancellor, Viz:
Medical College Admiss'n, Work & Course &c. to be Invariable
1st. That the terms of admission, the amount of work and length of course, in the several sections of the medical college, be invariably the same.
Regent Burnham moved the adoption of the recpmmendation, which motion prevailed.
Students Credentials to be Approved byy Faculty & Chancellor.
2nd. That no student be credited with any course or courses taken in other colleges until his credentials therefrom, which must have been presented within one month after matriculation, have been passed upon by the faculty and acepted by the chancellor.
Regent Hull moved the adoption of above recommendation, which motion prevailed.
Materials How Provided &c. Demenstrator.
3rd. That the demenstrator shall provide all material for the study of practical anatomy, and shall personally direct and certify the work of all students in the branch, without discrimination.
Regent Burnham moved the adoption of the above recommendation, which motion prevailed.
Requirements for Admission.
4th (To be in forced from and after september 1885.)
Every candidate for admission to the college of medicine, must be eighteen years of age and must present to the chancellor satistfactory evidence of a good moral character. He must further sustain a satisfactory examination on the subjects required for a county superintendants cerificate of the second grade, with the addition of elementary chemistry, and by an examination on one or more of the required subjects or by an essay of not less than 300 words on a subject assigned at the time, he must show ability to write the english language correctly. Graduates or undergraduates of any other college of this university, or of any other reputable university or college, graduates of any high school or academy, with a course of study equal to that of the latin school of this university, and persons holding county superintendants certificates as above, may be admitted without
