DRAKE UNIVERSITY

GEORGE T. CARPENTER, A., LL. D.,
Chancellor.

DES MOINES, IA., Aug. 4, 1890.

To whom it may concern:

It gives me pleasure to say that Mr. E. C. Grubbs is now pursuing a post-graduate course of study under the direction of the Faculty of Drake University. We find him a hard working, conscientious student, and a Christian man of irreproachable standing. We are also assured by those competent to know, that he is a superior teacher and principals of schools, in which work he has had much successful experience. I take great pleasure, therefore, in recommending him to any who
may be in need of his services, or with whom he may meet in social or church life and work.

G. T. CARPENTER,

Chancellor Drake University.
