Prof. Chas. E. Bessey,

Dear Sir:

I mail to
you to day a slide upon which is my
first crude attempt to mount algae after
the directon of Mr. Woods. I am now
having very good success with them however
as I have made some very fair mounts
in the last two days. I think the
specimen which I send to-day in Draparmaldia
plumosa. I have many specimens of
algae which I think are new to the state.

Some I will send as soon as I can
mount them and some I have found in
such a confusion of other things that with
my limited experience I have been unable
to separate and mount them. Among the latter
Raphidium Braunii and Asterothrix lereginis

Yours Truly,
H. Hapeman
