Dear Prof. Bessey;
I was in Chicago last week and find that, in order to secure the space we shall want for the station exhibits, we must make a definite statement of our requirements at an early day. Will you please write me, no later than Nov. 20, stating the kind and amount of space which you will want forthe exhibit of mushrooms? Will you want wall or table cases, or both, and how many square feet of each? Will you want any floor space? [?] wall cases will probable be nine feet in the clear, so as to allow for six rows of herbarium sheets. If you want special [?on] of case it can probably be arranged. Please write as full as possible, so that proper arrangements can be made. I think we shall have ample space, but the authorities want us to show that we have material in sight to fill it before they will assign it.

Yours very truly,
S. [K?]. Tracy.
