Lincoln. Nebraska.

Dear Sir

As Mr. Hodges is not in the city to reply to your favor of January 31st. The corrections you request will be made on the plate. as soon as it is received. Will you please inform me whether you want the county names you omitted on your geological map of Nebraska also omitted on the plate or whether you want me to supply them. Furthermore I wish to know whether there is any objection on extending the map a little farther southward, as it is impossible to insert the title in the small place you indicated for it. Yours truly

Prof. Charles Bessey Lincoln, Neb.

Dear Sir

We have had a very enjoyable study of Cuscuta Gronovii in our laboratory this winter and are preparing some notes and drawings that with your permission I would like to submit to you for criticism or approval after a few weeks With the exception of your [orone] articles in the naturalist and one in the Pop. Sec.- I do not find much enlightenment - Will you kindly refer me to any valuable articles you may know that would help in the matter.

I enclose an item that might go in the Naturalist if you deem it worthy -- It has been very interesting to see the little fellows hang themselves -- espicially as no one ever told us they did so

We have some fine embryos in various stages. - in position and the haustoma in all sorts of views and stages.

Very respectively Henrietta E. Hooker
