Prof. C. E. Bessey, Ames Iowa Dear Sir:

Yr favor of the 21st came to hand in class time.

It will give me great pleasure to exchange botanical specimens with you and at an early day will send you a list of the species I have for this purpose. My Collection consists of local specimens- Middle and Northern Alabama.

I would be pleased to receive a list of your specimens - I wish to file it away for reference.

I am under many obligations for the paper on "The Erysiphei." I have read it with great interest as I have examined some what in this branch myself - but not very extensively.

Yrs Very Truly,

P. H. Mell Jr.
