a small light red berry, which is sessile & clustered along the branches. It is very sour. It is ab't 1/2 as large as a pear I have made a beautiful jelly from it.

There are many varieties of wild plums, some of which are very fine.

I wish it might be so arranged that you could visit this part of the state and address our Institute the coming summer.

I do not know yet what funds will be at my disposal, certainly not as large a sum as I should like.
