Dear Dr Bessey:
Your letter came at a time when the librarian had ordered all books in and was taking the inventory. I drew the Journal for you at earliest possible minute and mailed it to you. I should have written you this note yesterday but could not find the time. Our year has closed the students have all gone and only the Board still remains what [?] are to come off remains also to be seen -- These agricultural colleges are certainly strange institutions as you well know.
I have been wanting to ask a favor of you for some time but have not had the courage to ask any time of you as I know you are
