congratulations. I shall be pleased to hear that you accept the appointment with its responsibilities, beleiving as I candidly do, that it is for the best interest of the University at present.
I should also like to be informed as to your sojourn abroad &whether in the light of recent events, you are likely to return earlier than was contemplated at the outset. In the capacity of acting chancellor, I shall have need to discuss measures with you as early as possible & I doubt not the same is true of all those having to do with the work of the University.
Prof. Hicks was appointed Dean of the Industrial Faculty.
