Dear Sir:

We send to your address per Registered Post this day, a 1-6 inch objective to be exchanged for the 1-4 inch sent you with Microscope on May 31st, as per our letter of that date. Please return the 1-4 inch on receipt of this 1-6 inch in the same manner.

We have not yet received the eye-piece micrometer, which you or dered at the same time, but will send it soon as possible.

After a profounded absence from town I have recieved the copy of you Botany for the publishers, and have writters [word] in acknowlegement.
