My dear Sir
I hope you will be able to ship us some things upon the close of the Exposition. We are tied up by a legislative slip, so that we cannot furnish funds as we hoped to.
Do the best you can by us, in the interest of the future.

Dear Sir:
If I conclude to bring my tinder specimens to state fair, can you spare time to put them in place, and look after them? I will not have time, and therefore, will not take them, unless some competent person can arrange and care for them. Advise me please.
Truly Robt. W. Furnas

My Dear Sir,
Referrnig to yours 12th [inst.?] Will be pleased to have the Address on "Grasses," when you have it prepared. Will see you when next in Lincoln, in relation to the matter you refer to.
[Centre noon.?] I have been for a long while laboring to educate our Board to get above a mere horse trot," or "[?] a day," and out into practical and useful fields. In my forthcoming Report I shall present your suggestions, with the plans I have in mind, and hope for good results.
Truly Robt. W. Furnas
